TINLEY PARK, Ill. (WLS) -- Police are searching for three men armed with handguns who broke into a home in southwest suburban Tinley Park late Saturday night.

The three men broke into a single-family home in the 8000-block of Pottawatomi Trail through an open garage door just before midnight, police said.

They demanded the homeowners' and their guests' cell phones, electronics, and cash before locking them all in the basement. The three men fled in a car, police said.

Three people sustained minor injuries. They were checked by paramedics on the scene.

The suspects were described as a white man and two black men, thought to be between the ages of 18 and 25, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Tinley Park Police Department at 708-444-5300.
