Concentrated in the popular Wrigleyville neighborhood, some who lived there expressed fear in the wake of the community alert.

"It kinda scares me a little bit that there's things so close to here, because I thought this place was safe," said Harry Staub, Wrigleyville resident.

After the most recent attack in the 1200-block of West Waveland, the two victims ran to a nearby firehouse for help.

"I commute from downtown, so coming home at night on the train, maybe I'll be taking Uber more often," said Bianca Lavelle, Wrigleyville residents.

The robbers were described as being between 5-foot8 and 6-foot, 140-180 pounds and between 18 and 25 years old, police said. They had braids and wore a dark, black or gray hooded sweatshirt and a black Chicago White Sox cap.

Community groups in the area remain concerned about the crime spree and are organizing neighborhood watch groups while encouraging residents to become involved. Meanwhile, authorities are asking people to be alert, to walk in groups, and to be aware of their surroundings.

Anyone with information on the robberies should contact Area North detectives at (312) 744-8263.
