Man critically injured in garage fire

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 54-year-old man is in critical condition at Mt. Sinai Hospital with second degree burns over 70 percent of his body after a fire, fire department officials say.

Officials say the fire at a small auto repair shop at 31st and Kostner was started while the man was removing a gas tank and some other parts from a car. Investigators have not yet determined what exactly went wrong.
