CHICAGO - You only have a few days left to register for the 2017 Chicago Walk to End Alzheimer's. The event is coming up on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Montrose Harbor. Last year, more than 4,800 people raised over $1,200,000 in the fight to end Alzheimer's disease. The money raised will fund Alzheimer's care, support and research programs. This year, organizers hope to top $1,350,000. More than 220,000 Illinois residents live with the disease. ABC 7 is a proud sponsor of the Walk to End Alzheimer's. Eyewitness News anchor Alan Krashesky is this year's honorary chair and emcee for the event. Britt Logan, who is a Chicago Walk to End Alzheimer's committee member, visited ABC 7 to talk about the upcoming event.
