Renowned Tenor David Miller of Il Divo

Miller is one of the most recognized and successful young American singers in the world, fueled by his fame as an acclaimed tenor in Il Divo, the international operatic pop group created by pop impresario Simon Cowell. The quartet's multiplatinum albums have launched him into international superstardom and allowed him to once again showcase his smooth operatic tenor voice. Previously, Miller has worked with some the top opera companies in the world through numerous starring roles with the Los Angeles Opera, Pacific Opera, Australian Opera and Baz Luhrmann's Tony-award winning Broadway version of Puccini's La Boheme. He performed for President Bill Clinton at the White House; TV appearances include The Oprah Winfrey Show, Late Night with David Letterman and The Today Show. The concert combines Miller's stellar vocals with the award-winning instrumentals of the Chicagoland Pops Orchestra.

The first half of the concert will feature a special performance by The American Girl Ambassadors, a group selected from the cast of young performers working at the Theater at American Girl Place Chicago. They will sing a repertoire of songs selected from the full-length musical productions, The American Girls Revue and Circle of Friends: An American Girl Musical, as well as classic carols from The American Girls® Holiday Celebration. The performances are inspired by the beloved characters and stories from American Girl's popular historical line.

Arnie Roth, Music Director and Principal Conductor, is known for his work with performers including Diana Ross, Charlotte Church, Peter Cetera, Art Garfunkel, Mannheim Steamroller, and Dennis DeYoung. He has conducted the London Symphony Orchestra, the National Symphony, the Atlanta Symphony, the Hollywood Bowl Philharmonic, the Dallas Symphony, the Houston Symphony, the BBC Symphony and Ravinia Festival Orchestra. Roth has produced dozens of best-selling CDs as well as concerts for WTTW.
