The Oswego man charged with the shooting deaths of his wife and 3 children had a $1 million life insurance policy on his wife, according to a report by the Aurora Beacon News. The newspaper is reporting the new information came out Friday during an estate hearing in Kendall County. Christopher Vaughn was the beneficiary on his wife's life insurance policy. State police found the bodies of Vaughn's wife and children inside the family's SU on the morning of June 14. The car was parked along interstate 55 near Channahon. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty in the case.
