Louisa May Alcott's beloved book Little Women has been turned into a musical. A timeless and endearing tale of the power of family, friendship and love, Little Women now captures the hearts of a new generation. The award-winning musical show runs through February 3 at Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire. Based on the enormously popular novel written in 1869, Little Women follows the March sisters as they come-of-age in 19th Century New England. While their father is serving as an army chaplain during the Civil War, their beloved mother, Marmee, is left to raise the four girls. As each sister tries to find their place in the world, they inevitably take paths that lead them all in different directions; yet they never lose their sisterly bond that helps define who they are at heart.

Little Women stars Heidi Kettenring as Jo March, previously seen at the Marriott Theatre as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl, and in Broadway in Chicago's Wicked as Nessarose. Little Women features an all-star supporting cast, including Dara Cameron, Jon Cunningham, Kaitlin Fine, Rebecca Finnegan, Michael Gerhart, Megan Long, Abby Mueller, John Reeger, Stephen Schellhardt, Emily Long, Morgan Weed, Ann Whitney, Jarrod Zimmerman and Paula Scrofano as Marmee.

Heidi Kettenring recently spent the last two years having a house drop on her head as "Nessarose" in the Chicago production of the smash hit Wicked. Marriott audiences may remember her from Sunset Boulevard (Betty), Funny Girl (Fanny Brice-Jeff Nomination), The Pajama Game (Babe), Carousel (Carrie), Victor/Victoria, Mame, Big River, Patent Leather Shoes, Finian's Rainbow, and Gypsy. Kettenring has worked with Court Theatre (After Dark Award for Guys And Dolls), Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Drury Lane Oakbrook Terrace and Evergreen Park, Northlight Theatre, Theatre At The Center, Peninsula Players, as well as concerts at Ravinia and for the Chicago Humanities Festival. She spent a year on tour with Disney's Beauty and the Beast and was the recipient of the 2005-2006 Sarah Siddon's Society Chicago Leading Lady Award.

The artistic team for Little Women is led by Director Joe Leonardo, with Musical Direction by Doug Peck, Set Design by Tom Ryan, Costume Design by Nancy Missimi, Lighting Design by Diane Williams, Sound Design by Cecil Averrett, Properties Design by Greg Isaac, and Orchestral Reductions by David Siegel.
