James Beard House recognizes Niche Restaurant

The nationally renowned James Beard Foundation has recently recognized Niche Restaurant, located at 14 South Third Street in the heart of historic downtown Geneva. Chef Jeremy Lycan and Wine Director Jody Richardson have been invited to New York on Tuesday, January 29 to showcase their American Contemporary cuisine and all-American wine list.

Niche is offering a sneak peak at the highly-anticipated dinner on Tuesday, January 8, at 6:30 p.m. Guests will have a chance to taste a James Beard Dinner in Chicago. Priced at $125 per person, plus tax and gratuity, this six-course wine dinner will feature the exact menu and wine pairings that will be showcased in New York.

Niche Restaurant is an eclectic approach to upscale dining. Founded by owners Lycan and Richardson, Niche Restaurant opened just months after the emotional closing of 302 West in Geneva, where both were mentored by the late Chef Joel Findlay. Along with 12 other former employees of 302 West, both Lycan and Richardson took the passion and dedication that Findlay instilled in them to open one of the finest Contemporary American dining destinations in the country, Niche Restaurant.
