Chicago woman rescued from burning building

Firefighters rescued a woman from a burning building on Chicago's Northwest Side Sunday morning.

It happened at a building in the 5800 block of North Cicero.

The fire started on the second floor and spread to the third. When crews arrive, they say, a woman on the third floor was trying to escape from a window. Firefighters brought her down using a ladder.

The woman was hospitalized in fair condition Sunday evening.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
