Peterson's attorney, Joel Brodsky, released a tape recording of the message that was left on his office phone. In the call, a woman says she saw Stacy Peterson near a homeless shelter in downstate Peoria.
Caller: "I did see Stacy again on January 2nd. I saw her at 3:15 in the afternoon. I didn't speak to her again. When I saw her I stepped back, I walked over near her, looked her straight in the face, and I walked off."
In November, Brodsky received an anonymous letter from someone claiming to see Stacy Peterson in Peoria. The letter and voice mail message have been turned over the Illinois State Police.
