Chicago's most endangered historic places

There is one unconventional entry on the list- Grant Park. Preservation Chicago said the park is threatened because of plans to move the Children's Museum there. The group is urging the city to re-evaluate its plans and find alternative sites.

    Other places include:
  • Chicago Athletic Association Building, Michigan Avenue
  • American Book Company building at Cermak and Calumet
  • Devon Avenue commercial district on the far North Side.
  • Booker building on South Cottage Grove
  • Daily News building along the river downtown
  • Old Norwood Park on the Northwest Side
