Body of teen stuffed in box identified

CHICAGO Seventeen-year-old Marlaina Reed, originally from Danville, was found strangled and stuffed in a box in an alley in the 1600 block of North Francisco Avenue.

A forensic artist was called to build a clay model of Reed's head and face.

Police say that a dental office receptionist in Chicago recognized Reed from the sketch and x-rays that were published in the Illinois Dental News.

Police say Reed was a habitual runaway who lived in Chicago for two years.

No one has been charged with her death.
