No link between testosterone and prostate cancer

Some doctors have long suspected that the hormone testosterone may have something to do with a man's risk of developing prostate cancer. Now a new finding in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute says there is no relationship.

Researchers from the University of Oxford reached that conclusion after reviewing the medical records of nearly 10,000 men. Nearly two dozen other studies have examined a potential link between testosterone and prostate cancer, but all were inclusive.

Researchers are hoping this newest study will spur scientists to rethink their approach to the disease.
