SOUTH CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL --A reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the murder of a woman last seen jogging in a forest preserve.Alma Mendez was found murdered near South Chicago Heights in October.
Her family is contributing $5,000 to a reward fund. Another $1,000 is coming from Cook County Crimestoppers.
Her body was discovered in a lake at the Sauk Trail Woods forest preserve.
She jogged near that lake almost every day.
