Chinese New Year celebration in Chicago

Celebrations in Chinatown marked the Lunar New Year 4706 Saturday.The traditional lion dance greeted well-wishers including Chicago's Mayor Daley at the event put on by the Chinese Mutual Aid Association.

Revelers rang in the 'Year of the Rat' by feeding a lion lucky money to secure happiness and longevity. The sign applies to those born in 1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996.
