The university has launched its own channel on the popular web site. It's designed to showcase happenings on campus, including lectures, fine arts programs and other events.
The Evanston-based school also plans to post videos to help recruit new students.
Northwestern is among a growing number of higher learning institutions offering videos on YouTube.
