American inspectors have found some problems at a Chinese factory that supplied the main ingredient for the recalled blood thinner Heparin, but they did not conclude that the Chinese plant is responsible for serious side effects.Baxter International recalled the drug and stopped making it earlier in February.

The FDA has received more than 400 reports of possible problems in patients taking Heparin made by several manufacturers, but the agency says that 215 allergic reactions, including four deaths, were linked to the Baxter product.
