At a press conference Monday, the Citizens Utility Board, AARP Illinois, and Citizen Action/Illinois said they are asking the Illinois Commerce Commission to consider revoking the certificate of US Energy Saving Corporation to operate in Illinois. The consumer groups say they have received 1,500 complaints about the gas company in the last year.
In a statement, US Energy says they deny the allegations. The company say tens of thousands of customers are paying less than the current utility rates, all because they signed up with US Energy.
