Woman who disappeared at O'Hare calls family to say she's safe

CHICAGO Chicago police spokeswoman JoAnn Taylor declined Wednesday night to say where Sumei Hu (soo-MAY' HOO) has been. But she says the woman is no longer considered a missing person.

Surveillance video showed the 38-year-old Sheboygan woman returning on a flight from Tokyo on February 26th and checking in at customs. But Hu, who had been visiting her family in China, never met her husband in the international terminal.

Sharon Romenesko, Hu's sister-in-law, told the Chicago Tribune that Hu called the family and told them she's in the Chicago area and is safe.
