Forty-three-year-old Cindy Bischof worked at Darwin Realty and Development in west suburban Elmhurst. She was shot while standing in the company's parking lot on Friday afternoon, according to police. Then her former boyfriend, 60-year-old Michael Giroux, killed himself.
The Daily Herald reports that Bischof had taken out an order of protection against Giroux and that police had arrested him several times for violating that order.
