April 4 preliminary hearing set for Krajcir in Missouri

JACKSON, Mo. The 63-year-old Krajcir (KRY'-chur) was in court for a morning hearing that lasted less than one minute with Krajcir appearing by video.

Prosecutors added five new charges -- four sexual assaults and a robbery involving an elderly couple. Those crimes occurred in 1981 and 1982.

Krajcir answered "Yes, sir" when asked if he understood the charges.

Authorities say Krajcir admitted to the killings in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, two in Illinois, and one each in Kentucky and Pennsylvania.

All nine deaths happened in the late 1970s and early '80s.
