New title announced in One Book, One Chicago

The Long Goodbye by Raymond Chandler is the most recent addition to the program, which began in 2001, encourages Chicagoans to read one book at the same time. It names two books a year it hopes will bring this diverse city together around one great book to promote reading and discussion.

The program also offers several events in April, including readings, film screenings and book discussions. For information on the upcoming events, Chicago Public Library's Resource Guide for The Long Goodbye.
