A 12-year-old girl was struck in the back. Police do not believe she was the intended target.
The girl is hospitalized in serious condition at University of Chicago Comers Children's Hospital.
Police say they picked up the 15-year old on a curfew violation. As they were taking him home, a call went out with a description of the shooting suspect. Officers realized he was the teen in their car. Charges are pending.
