SPRING GROVE, Ill. --A special school board meeting is scheduled for Wednesday night in the far north suburbs after an elementary school principal was arrested in a motel with two teenaged girls. Daniel Markofski, 47, is the principal at Spring Grove Elementary in Spring Grove. He is accused of meeting a 16-year-old girl and her 15-year-old cousin in a motel room in suburban Milwaukee after meeting one of the girls on a phone chat line. Markofski is charged with exposing a child to harmful material and having sexual intercourse with a child 16 years or older. Markofski has been suspended with pay. Crisis counselors were at the school Wednesday to assist students and staff members.
