CHICAGO --Chicago police say a "suspicious object" found at the Dirksen Federal Building turned out to be a suitcase someone left behind. Police spokesman John Mirabelli says authorities have determined that there is no public safety threat. The suitcase was located around 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Chicago police spokeswoman JoAnn Taylor says the police department's Bomb and Arson squad were called to the scene to investigate. Authorities had blocked traffic around the downtown Chicago building. Officials from the Chicago Fire Department were on the scene.
