CTA Brown Line service restored after incident

CHICAGO A train came to a stop at 9 a.m. in the 4600-block of North Kedzie after a pedestrian was struck. Crews worked the scene for about an hour. Trains began running again just before 10 a.m.

During the halt in service, CTA ran shuttle buses to move impacted passengers.

The CTA station along Kedzie's Brown Line runs at ground level. Police say the crossing gates were down.

The 34-year-old man was critically injured.
