Several attacked on Loop street
CHICAGO Police call the attacks random.
The attacks happened on Washington Street near Dearborn. Witnesses say a man ran down the street and punched people in the head or face.
One of the victims was our own Cheryl Burton.
Witnesses helped police track down the attacker and arrest him.
A 73-year-old man suffered an eye injury and possible broken nose.
A 73-year-old woman passed out at the scene.
She's OK.
Another woman in her 70s suffered bruises.
Cheryl is OK, too.
A security guard chased the man and held him until police arrived. There's no word yet on charges in the incident.
