Pregnant women with high blood sugar levels may need to worry about their babies' health.
Children born to women with diabetes are more likely to experience birth complications, Caesarian delivery and impaired insulin levels.
But, new research from Northwestern University suggests that babies born to women with just elevated blood sugar also have many of these same health risks.
They also found these women gave birth to abnormally large babies twenty-six percent of the time.
Experts say maintaining a healthy weight before and during pregnancy is the best way to keep blood sugar levels down.
