Metra making schedule changes

Beginning the week of May 19, trains will be added to the Milwaukee and Union Pacific North lines to ease overcrowding caused by construction on the Edens Expressway.

Metra also wants to encourage people to use the trains for weekend outings during the summer.

Along with the added weekend service, schedule adjustments are being made to weekday service on Milwaukee and Union Pacific North lines as well as the west lines.

New printed schedules will be available at downtown terminals starting May 15.
