Aurora man breaks biking record

An Aurora man has pedaled his way back into the record books.

Early Monday morning, George Hood reached his goal of pedaling one-hundred and seventy six consecutive hours on a stationary spin bike in Naperville. He broke the previous record by ten minutes.

Monday's record breaker was witnessed by an official from the Guiness Book of World Records.

Hood pedaled non-stop for nine days covering more than 2600 miles.

He has set the world record twice before but a clerical error and competition from Tasmania stripped him of those titles.
