Drink could guard against hip fractures

Researchers in New York found that people who drink up to one alcoholic beverage a day are 20 percent less likely to suffer a hip fracture than those who don't drink at all. However, those who have two or more drinks a day are 39 percent more likely to break a hip.

Researchers say the key is drinking in moderation, which has been linked to greater bone density.
