Residents in the area must boil all water used for drinking, cooking or personal consumption. The order went into effect at noon Tuesday and will continue until further notice.
The boil order was issued after a water main break occurred during construction on Western Avenue. Repair efforts are currently underway and tests to determine the water quality will be conducted before the village rescinds the order.
Roughly one-fourth of the village is affected by the order.
