Stroger, public defender settle dispute
A spokesperson for Stroger said the two men had a meeting Monday and have reconciled their differences.
Burnett had sued Stroger last year over personnel decisions Stroger made that Burnett said undermined the operation of his office.
Stroger began seeking Burnett's removal last month on dereliction of duty allegations.
Both men were expected to put out a formal reconciliation statement Tuesday.
