ABC7 broadcasts Memorial Day Parade live in HD

ABC 7 Chicago salutes the nation's veterans with the live HD broadcast of Chicago's Memorial Day Parade, the largest annual Memorial Day Parade in the country, Saturday, May 24th, 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. The Memorial Day Parade, hosted by ABC 7's Ravi Baichwal and Leah Hope, kicked off from State and Lake and proceeded down State to Van Buren.

ABC 7 Chicago's Jeff Blanzy, Ben Bradley, Stacey Baca and Judy Hsu were part of the festivities as they rode atop the station float.

The Memorial Day Parade honors those fallen heroes who have died in Iraq and other conflicts, commemorating the 44th anniversary of the Vietnam War; the 64th anniversary of D-Day and World War II; and the 94th anniversary of World War I; while also honoring all the victims of terrorism.

The Memorial Day Parade is produced by ABC 7 Chicago's Crick Bowen. It will be available on demand at abc7chicago.com later Saturday afternoon.
