Free trolleys take people to Chicago attractions

CHICAGO Chicago's free trolley system, which connects many of the city's most popular destinations, is now on its summer schedule.

The free downtown trolley connects several landmarks- including Michigan Avenue, Museum Campus and Navy Pier- to the public transportation system- including CTA, Amtrak and Metra. Trolleys operate daily and run every 20 to 30 minutes from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The free Lincoln Park trolley runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends and holidays only Lincoln Park's Free Trolley Route (weekends/holidays only)

Since 2001, the free trolleys have provided rides to more than one million passengers a year.
