Liz Mandeville to perform at Chicago Blues Fest

A diminutive redhead, Liz came to Depaul to study theatre and discovered that cities rich jazz & blues heritage. She brings to the stage a giant presence that's impossible to resist or ignore. Liz delights audiences all over the world. In the US, she is a featured artist at venues from New York City to Seattle, Minneapolis to Key West.

She tours Germany, Latvia, France, Belgium & Canada. Germany's ARD TV features Liz in a "Must See In Chicago" news show. She's produced 3 critically acclaimed, original, internationally released, CD's, for Chicago based Earwig Music Co. They showcase Liz's powerful, 4-octave voice, her creativty as a producer, arranger, guitarist and song-crafter. All forty songs on Liz's CD's are self-penned.

Liz won the 2005 USA Songwriting contest for her comedy/novelty song, "He Left It In His Other Pants," recorded on her 2000 Earwig CD release READY TO CHEAT. The CD was nominated "Best Blues CD of the Year" by the Chicago Music Awards, as was 2002's release, her 3rd CD, BACK IN LOVE AGAIN. Liz co-wrote the title track with labelmate Johnnie Drummer. She joins Drummer in a duet on his 2nd Earwig disc, Unleaded Blues & performs with him at Lee's Unleaded, the CD's south side namesake.

Liz spent 5 years in residence at the Blue Chicago Clubs (while earning a BA in Music from Columbia College, Chicago.) where she performed with a who's who of Blues legends.

Liz did two tracks on their Red Hot Mama's CD.
