Could alcohol fight arthritis?

People who drink alcohol may be less prone to developing rheumatoid arthritis. That's according to a new Scandinavian study that found people who moderately consumed alcohol were 40 and 45 percent less likely to develop the disease. The risk was reduced by 50 and 55 percent for those had a high consumption of alcohol.

Doctors advise that while the high consumption of alcohol is apparently protective against rheumatoid arthritis it is also linked with many other health problems including heart disease
