Bicyclist struck by CTA bus

The cyclist was transferred to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in serious condition, according to officials. His or her identity has not been released.

No one else was injured.

The bicyclist was struck by a northbound No. 36 Broadway bus at Broadway and Patterson. Both southbound and northbound buses on that route were re-routed to Addison, Halsted and Waveland. From there they will resume their regular routes.
