Body found in forest preserve

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill. Steve Mayberry of the Forest Preserve District says the body was found Monday in a wooded area about 750 yards from a parking lot. It was discovered after a worker for a mosquito abatement district found a passport bearing the woman's name.

The body was identified late Tuesday as that of 45-year-old Patricia McNamara. Schaumburg Police Officer Mark Eschel says the woman was reported missing June 1 by her brother.

Mayberry says the body was badly decomposed, but there were no obvious signs of trauma or foul play. An autopsy Tuesday failed to determine a cause or manner of the woman's death.
