Family of slain teen pleads for information

CHICAGO Fourteen-year-old Jeremy Jones was walking with a friend Wednesday night when police say someone rode up on bike and shot Jones in the head.

Jones had been hospitalized since the shooting but died Thursday night. His family urged anyone who might know something about this case to call police.

"I want him caught, they said they working on it, but they say they gonna catch him," said mom Evelyn Jones.

"We're gonna put up a thousand dollars and hope that someone would contact the church pastor or Chicago police and give them the tools to work with," said community activist Andrew Jones.

Jones was the third Chicago teen this week to die from gun violence.
