June 23, 2008 3:07:31 PM PDT
Classmates of a 14-year-old killed last week are calling for the end of gun violence in their community. Jeremy Jones attended Samuel Gompers Elementary School in the city's West Pullman neighborhood.

On Monday, students and teachers led an anti-violence march there.

Last Wednesday night, Jones was walking with a friend when police say someone on a bike shot him in the head.

He died a day later. The shooter is still on the loose.

On Monday, the boy's friends marched to Alderman Anthony Beale's office demanding that he help them stop the violence.

Alderman Beale did not return an ABC7 call for a comment.
