Code violations were allegedly found at a Chicago Housing Authority property where a heavy gate fell and crushed a boy last week. Three-year-old Curtis Cooper was killed Friday when an iron gate broke free from its hinges and fell on top of him. It happened at Chicago's Cabrini Green housing complex in the 900-block of North Cambridge.

City building inspectors found serious code violations and demanded that every fence on the property be inspected. Officials are waiting for the final report from engineers before taking further action.
