Police believe two shootings are connected

CHICAGO It began when a gunman got out of car and began shooting at 78th and Constance Tuesday night. A 22-year-old man and a 9-year-old boy were wounded.

Minutes later, at 74th and Blackstone, a police pursuit involving a car suspected in the shooting ended in a crash. Police arrested one man but another man got away.

Just after that crash, police responded to a shooting outside the emergency room at Jackson Park Hospital.

Deloris Myrick, 22, and a young man were shot. Myrick died.
