Study: Green tea improves blood flow, heart health

Greek researchers say the tea improved blood flow, which helps keep the heart healthy.

They say volunteers who drank green tea experienced an increase in the diameter of their blood vessels within 30 minutes.

Narrowing of vessels poses a risk factor for heart disease because it restricts blood flow.

This latest research is in the "European Journal of Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation."

A couple years ago the FDA ruled there is not enough evidence that drinking green tea reduces the risk of heart disease.
