Aurora Police investigate robberies

Aurora Police are investigating a series of robberies that have affected contractors and so-called do-it-yourselfers. Burglars have been targeting tools and equipment in vehicles parked at two home improvement stores.

There have been six thefts resulting in losses of around $5,000 in the last month.

The robberies happened in parking lots at a Lowe's in the 2300 block of west Indian Trail and a Home Depot in the 1200 block of north Orchard Road.

Police want to remind anyone to make sure that valuable items in their vehicles are stored out of sight.
