Death investigation conducted at L stop

Northbound L service was interrupted Tuesday when a person was reported struck by a train at the Argyle station just after 5 p.m.Northbound Red and Purple Line service from Addison to Howard was temporarily shut down. Shuttle buses were used to transport passengers for part of the evening rush hour.

The Chicago Fire Department said it was conducting a death investigation at the station.

The medical examiner's office says a 35-year-old was struck by the train.
