EAU CLAIRE, Wis. --
A man was fatally stabbed at an Eau Claire intersection early Friday after arguing with the driver of another vehicle. Police say 29-year-old Joseph Wiesenbeck was a passenger in a vehicle that had four other occupants. Authorities say there was a verbal fight with the driver of another vehicle and when they stopped at a traffic light Wiesenbeck and the suspect got out of their vehicles.
There was a scuffle and Wiesenbeck was stabbed in the chest. Both got back in their vehicles. Those in the victim's vehicle were able to get the suspect's license number, then drove Wiesenbeck to Luther Hospital where he died.
Police later spotted the suspect's vehicle, arrested him and confiscated a knife.
