Another Commonwealth Edison worker has been robbed while on the job. The utility says one of its meter readers was robbed at gunpoint Sunday afternoon while working in the 7400-block of North Ashland on the city's far North Side.

The gunman got away with money and a personal cell phone. The ComEd worker was not injured.

ComEd says since January of 2006, there have been 90 incidents of physical assaults and verbal threats targeting its workers in the field.

A new state law went into effect in January increasing penalties for people who physically attack utility workers in Illinois.
