Twisters hit Chicago suburbs

The tornado touched down in Bloomingdale Monday night, causing damage that stretched from one end of the village to the other.

A building in an industrial park northwest of Gary Avenue and Army Trail Road partially collapsed while a 10-ton air conditioner from a nearby rooftop sat in the parking lot. There was also heavy tree damage reported.

In Bolingbrook, an entire street suffered major damage. At least three homes had portions of the roofs torn off by wind gusts. Walls collapsed, windows shattered, glass and furniture was sent flying into the streets and yards.
