Arts festival boasts food, music and fun

CHICAGO The 27th annual North Halsted Market Days has more than 400 vendors and over 30 entertainment and musical acts.

Vendors were set to open their booths at approximately 11 a.m. Sunday, which is the last day of the festival.

Andrew Knecht of the North Halsted Merchants Association spoke with ABC7 Chicago to share information about the festival and its features.

"We have great bands, great food, everything from arts and crafts to fine art [available for sale]. We have a little of everything or everybody," he said.

Among other music artists, Broadway star Jennifer Holiday was set to take the stage at Sunday evening.

The festival is along Halsted Street between Belmont and Addison and is scheduled to end at 7 p.m. Sunday.
